 I am very proud and honoured.to have been elected as the 2008
Captain of Prenton Golf Club, and I intend to fully enjoy all of the functions
and events that will take place throughout my year.
If you are a member
then you will already know that our course is in excellent condition,
attributable to the dedication of our magnificent team of green staff, who
continue with minor changes, making the course the finest that we have ever
seen. Our clubhouse and its facilities have been brought up to a very high
standard for all to enjoy a relaxing time in magnificent surroundings, and I
ask you to support them to the best of your ability.
If you are a past
visitor or a potential one, you are always assured of a warm welcome at
Prenton, and our fine parkland course waits to challenge you.

packages to meet all of your golfing needs, from corporate days and society
visits, to just a friendly game. We can also help with your accommodation needs
through our association with local hotels.

I
have been a member of Prenton Golf Club since 1992 and I was delighted and
honoured to be invited to become the Ladies' Captain for 2007/2008
The club
has a varied social program for the winter months and I look forward to
participating in as many events as I can.
We have a very active, friendly
ladies section but are always keen to welcome new members. I would be very
happy to meet any prospective lady members and show them our excellent

Our Ladies Open will take place on 21st August 2008. and our ever
popular Festival of Golf week will run from 8th-13th June 2008. Details of

In addition to a full and varied golfing calendar, Prenton Ladies'
Section runs a well-supported bridge programme with something for everybody,
ranging from a beginner's group ( for the rookie bridge players like myself !)
through to team matches against other local clubs.
If you have never
visited Prenton Golf Club, I urge you to do so. The course is kept in excellent
condition by our dedicated green staff and the clubhouse offers good catering
and bar facilities.
To all of our members, I send good wishes for an
enjoyable winter, meeting with friends old and new, and a happy, successful
golfing season in 2008.
